Actor Ajay Devgn is set to reprise his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar in ‘Drishyam 3’, with the makers announcing that the much-anticipated film will hit theatres worldwide on October 2, 2026.

Shooting for the third instalment of the popular thriller franchise is currently underway, with production progressing across multiple cities and locations, according to the makers.

Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of Vijay Salgaonkar — a simple, middle-class man who confronts adversity with intelligence, resilience and unwavering love for his family — has made the character one of Hindi cinema’s most memorable on-screen fathers. Known for relying on sharp thinking rather than violence, Salgaonkar’s journey has resonated strongly with audiences since the first film.

The makers said ‘Drishyam 3’ will carry the story forward within the established timeline of the franchise, introducing new twists and unexpected turns in the lives of the Salgaonkar family, promising edge-of-the-seat drama.

The original ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor, will reprise their roles, alongside other prominent actors.

Presented by Star Studio18, ‘Drishyam 3’ is a Panorama Studios production. The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. It is produced by Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
