Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to complete his prison sentence earlier than previously scheduled, according to updated records from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons reported by E! News. The hip-hop artist, currently serving a 50-month sentence linked to prostitution-related charges, is now expected to be released on April 25, 2028.

Combs’ release timeline has seen multiple adjustments. His original release date was May 8, 2028, which was later revised to June 4, 2028 before being advanced to the latest schedule.

The 56-year-old rapper remains incarcerated at the Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey, a low-security prison facility. He was transferred there from New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center in late 2025.

During his initial months at the facility, rumours circulated on social media about his conduct inside prison, including allegations of consuming homemade alcohol. His representatives rejected the claims, stating that Combs has not violated prison regulations and is focused on maintaining discipline and sobriety during his incarceration.

Combs was later photographed inside the prison premises, with media reports showing him wearing prison-issue casual clothing and interacting with fellow inmates during routine movement within the facility.

The music executive has publicly expressed remorse for his actions during court proceedings. At his sentencing, he acknowledged his mistakes, saying that he allowed ego and personal excesses to influence his decisions, which ultimately cost him his freedom and affected his family life.

Combs is father to several children, and he has previously spoken emotionally about prioritising his family and working toward personal reform while serving his sentence.
