Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is set to helm a new feature film inspired by Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam.

The project will be jointly produced by his banner, I Am Buddha Production, along with T-Series, led by Bhushan Kumar.

The film draws from the book Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India's Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan authored by K.J.S. Dhillon. According to the makers, the narrative is based on real incidents and incorporates extensive research, including inputs from various branches of the Indian Armed Forces.

The storyline traces events following the April 22, 2025 attack at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, where terrorists targeted tourists, killing 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national, while injuring several others. The incident was among the most severe attacks in the region since the Pulwama attack, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.
