Apple has introduced the MacBook Neo, a new entry-level laptop aimed at making the Mac ecosystem more accessible to a broader audience through a lower price point and modern performance features. The device is positioned as an everyday computing solution for browsing, productivity, entertainment, and light creative work.
Priced starting at USD 599 globally and Rs 69,900 in India, the MacBook Neo is currently the most affordable MacBook ever launched by the company. Pre-orders have begun, with sales scheduled to start from March 11 across Apple’s online and retail channels, along with authorised partners.
The laptop is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro chip, paired with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display offering high brightness, sharp resolution, and support for vibrant colour reproduction. The device is designed with a fanless architecture for silent operation and promises long battery life suitable for daily tasks.
Apple has also emphasised portability and durability, using a lightweight aluminium build available in multiple colour options. The device integrates advanced AI-ready computing capabilities, enhanced graphics performance, and privacy-focused software features through its macOS platform.
The company also highlighted sustainability efforts, stating that the device incorporates recycled materials in its construction and packaging to reduce environmental impact. The new model reflects Apple’s strategy of combining affordability, performance, and eco-friendly design in a single product offering.
