OnePlus has officially confirmed the arrival of its much-rumoured Turbo lineup. Putting months of speculation to rest, OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis announced on Monday that the Turbo branding will not be limited to a single handset but will instead represent a new smartphone series. The company has also indicated that the launch is expected in the near future. Earlier reports suggest the lineup could make its way to India within the next couple of months.
OnePlus Turbo Series to Prioritise Power and Endurance
Sharing details on Weibo, Li Jie revealed that the Turbo series was unveiled during OnePlus’ 12th anniversary celebrations held on Sunday. While no technical specifications were disclosed, the executive highlighted two key pillars of the new lineup class-leading battery life and exceptionally high performance. He described the upcoming phones as offering “frighteningly powerful performance” paired with the “strongest battery life in their segment.”
According to Li Jie, the Turbo series will carry forward the same performance-focused DNA seen in OnePlus’ flagship devices. This has sparked speculation that select models could feature top-tier processors, potentially even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which currently powers the OnePlus 15. The company also confirmed that the Turbo range will be designed with gamers in mind, though it remains unclear how the series will be positioned in terms of pricing and market placement within OnePlus’ broader portfolio.
Earlier leaks had pointed to the development of a device referred to as the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo for the Chinese market. Many believed this phone would be the sole Turbo-branded model. However, Li Jie’s clarification suggests that Turbo will be a standalone lineup, separate from the Ace series. As a result, the rumoured handset may debut as part of the Turbo family rather than alongside the Ace 6 or Ace 6T.

The leaked specifications of the alleged Ace 6 Turbo include a 6.78-inch LTPS OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of either 144Hz or 165Hz. The device is also tipped to house a massive 9,000mAh battery a claim that aligns with OnePlus’ emphasis on battery longevity and gaming performance.
Reports indicate that the first Turbo-branded smartphone could launch in China between January and February 2026. Some sources suggest it may be a mid-range offering powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. However, with limited official information available at this stage, OnePlus’ final strategy for the Turbo series remains to be seen.
