New Delhi
Breaking away from the stereotype of metro-based, venture-backed startups, an AI venture from a small town in Andhra Pradesh is making a mark globally.
LazyJobSeeker, an AI-powered assistant designed to support professionals during live conversations such as job interviews and meetings, has crossed 95,000 users worldwide, including over 10,000 paying subscribers. The platform is also witnessing a steady 15 per cent month-on-month growth.
The startup was founded by Ravi Teja Beere, a developer from Dharmavaram, and has been built without external funding or a large team.
The idea originated from a practical challenge faced during professional interactions, where individuals are often required to recall extensive information such as project details, pricing, and technical specifications in real time. To address this, the founder initially developed a personal tool that could surface relevant information during live conversations.
What began as an internal productivity solution gradually evolved into a full-fledged platform after early users expressed interest in using it commercially. The product saw organic adoption, particularly among job seekers, freelancers, consultants, and professionals involved in frequent client interactions.
Unlike conventional AI tools focused on content generation or data analysis, LazyJobSeeker is designed specifically for real-time assistance. It listens, understands context, and provides prompts or talking points during conversations, helping users stay organised and confident.
The platform supports a range of use cases, including job interviews, client calls, sales discussions, and professional meetings.
Another notable aspect of the startup is its origin. Built from Dharmavaram rather than a traditional technology hub, it reflects a broader shift in the global tech ecosystem, where access to the internet and AI tools is enabling founders from smaller towns to build globally relevant products.
With users across multiple countries, the company’s growth has largely been driven by word-of-mouth rather than paid marketing.
Looking ahead, LazyJobSeeker aims to expand its capabilities to support more real-time professional scenarios, with a broader vision of making conversations more productive and less stressful.
