Pirzada Arshad Faridi, Sajjadanashin of Dargah Hazrat Sheikh Salim Chishty, Fatehpur Sikri, extended his greetings to PM Modi on his 75th birthday.

He emphasized that the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has adopted India's ancient philosophy of Vasudaivya Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and presented it to the world is rare.

According to him, the importance of Prime Minister Modi is enhanced by the fact that he is the first democratic leader of India to make this turbulent world realize the need for peace and harmony.

He recalled that at the recently held Khusro Festival in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi had highlighted the services of Amir Khusro and said that Khusro introduced India as the greatest nation.

Faridi remembered how PM Modi paid tributes to Sufi traditions of Baba Fariduddin Shakarganj, Bulleh Shah, Nizamuddin Auliya, and Amir Khusro; and praised Sufi music for lending a unique colour to Indian culture.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, members of the Bohra Muslim community in Colombo organised special prayers at their mosque.

The gathering prayed for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life, and continued success in serving India.

All India Sufi Sajjadanshin Council Chairman Syed Nasiruddin Chishti and several important Muslim leaders and organisations greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday and praised the organisation of Sewa Pakhwada (fortnight of service) by his party, the BJP.

"I wish him a very happy birthday. The way the entire country celebrates his birthday in the form of Sewa Pakhwada, the only intent is service," Syed Nasiruddin Chishty told ANI.

Chisty hailed the PM's strong leadership, saying that India does not bow to anybody's pressure.
