Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday inaugurated a 14-day integrated ski training course at popular tourist destinations in the valley, including Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Doodhpathri.
The program will provide certified skiing training to 500–600 students aged 12–18, focusing on foundational skills like gliding, snow ploughing, and turns. The initiative also aims to promote winter tourism in the region.
Abdullah also released official calendars of the Tourism Department and the J-K Cable Car Corporation, featuring scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, and key tourism achievements across Jammu and Kashmir.

The integrated ski course is part of efforts to establish these destinations firmly on the skiing map and enhance youth engagement with winter sports.
