The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a recently formed political outfit that has gained popularity on social media, has announced the appointment of three spokespersons as it prepares to expand its public outreach and mobilise support around education-related issues.

In a statement shared on social media, the party said investigative journalist Saurav Das has been appointed as its chief spokesperson. Political researcher and filmmaker Vijeta Dahiya, along with former management consultant Ashutosh Ranka, will also serve as official representatives of the organisation.

The party said the appointments reflect its effort to bring a new generation of voices into public life and reshape political conversations around issues affecting young Indians.

According to the announcement, Das has worked extensively on legal, judicial and social affairs during his journalism career. The party also credited him with participating prominently in anti-pollution demonstrations held near India Gate in late 2025.

Dahiya, who has experience as a researcher, author and filmmaker, has been involved in content creation and political research projects for various digital platforms and creators. A graduate of Delhi Technological University, he has written books including Power of Universe and To Hell With That Job. The party noted that he has also directed and written the Haryanvi films Dararen and Opri Parai.

Ranka, who studied at IIT Kanpur and later at the London School of Economics, previously worked with global consulting firm McKinsey & Company in London. The party said he returned to India last year and has since been engaged in public campaigns focused on environmental concerns, education reforms and youth-related issues in Jaipur, including activism linked to the NEET examination controversy.

The appointments come shortly before the anticipated return of party founder Abhijeet Dipke to India on June 6.

Dipke has announced plans to organise a peaceful demonstration in Delhi demanding accountability over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination process and concerns relating to the CBSE system. He has also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over these issues.

Founded only a few weeks ago, the Cockroach Janta Party has attracted considerable attention online, particularly among students and young voters. The organisation has positioned itself as a platform focused on education reform, youth empowerment and governance issues affecting the younger generation.
