Delhi court remands MCD officials to 14-day judicial custody

New Delhi

A Delhi court on Wednesday sent a deputy commissioner and an administrative officer of Municipal Corporation of Delhi to 14-day judicial custody in a corruption case.

Special CBI Judge Sudhanshu Kaushik allowed the CBI's pleas seeking judicial custody of Lt Col Abhishek Kumar Mishra, deputy commissioner, Shahdara North, and the other officer, Devanshu Kumar Gautam, who were arrested on Tuesday in a Rs 4 lakh bribery case.

A detailed order is awaited. Earlier on Tuesday, the accused persons had been sent to one day CBI custody.
