Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the pace of development in the country will remain strong as long as people continue to place their trust in the government at every level, from local bodies to the national Parliament.

Addressing a public gathering in Vav-Tharad, he described the government’s development agenda as a “superfast” journey driven by public confidence. He also praised the Gujarat government’s recently presented budget of over ₹4 lakh crore, stating that the allocation would support growth across rural and urban areas, including villages, towns, and cities.

The Prime Minister made these remarks after inaugurating and launching multiple development projects in the region worth more than ₹20,000 crore. These initiatives span a wide range of sectors such as energy, railways, road infrastructure, healthcare, urban expansion, tribal welfare, and rural development.

Highlighting Gujarat’s progress in clean energy, Modi said the state has emerged as a leader in solar power generation and renewable energy. He noted that the foundation for this growth was laid years ago when early efforts were made to promote solar projects, positioning Gujarat ahead in the sector.

Among the key infrastructure developments, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, a major access-controlled highway constructed at a cost exceeding ₹5,100 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for the Idar-Badoli bypass project and the upgradation of a section of National Highway-754K connecting Dholavira to Santalpur.

Additional road infrastructure projects were also announced, including a flyover at Bhaijipura Junction on the Gandhinagar-Koba-Airport route. The project is expected to reduce congestion and create organised parking facilities in the area.

In the urban development sector, Modi inaugurated and laid the groundwork for 44 projects across Gujarat, with a combined value of around ₹5,300 crore. These initiatives are aimed at improving civic infrastructure and enhancing urban living standards.

The Prime Minister also unveiled several healthcare-related projects. These include an 858-bed ‘Rain Basera’ facility at the Civil Hospital in Asarwa, Ahmedabad, along with similar accommodation facilities at Gandhinagar Civil Hospital and GMERS Medical College in Gandhinagar.
