Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday directed authorities to conduct a detailed inquiry into the bridge collapse in Jammu city that claimed the lives of three workers.
According to an official spokesperson, the chief minister conveyed his grief over the tragic incident, which took place at Bantalab on the outskirts of Jammu on Friday.
The accident reportedly occurred while labourers were engaged in repair work on a retaining wall near the bridge, leading to the fatal collapse.

Abdullah offered condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for peace for the departed souls. He also expressed hope for the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries in the mishap.
