A. Revanth Reddy on Friday said his Assembly constituency Kodangal is being transformed into a major centre for education and industry, with multiple infrastructure and institutional projects currently underway.

Addressing a public gathering after laying foundation stones for a Lord Venkateswara Temple and other development works, the chief minister said several educational institutions—including medical, engineering, nursing and polytechnic colleges—are being established in the constituency, along with an Advanced Technology Centre and a Sainik School.

He said these projects, aimed at transforming what was once considered a backward region, are expected to be completed within the next one-and-a-half years.

Thanking the people of Kodangal for electing him and enabling him to become chief minister, Revanth Reddy said the constituency would be developed as a model for the rest of the country.

He also announced that an industrial park spread across 2,300 acres is being developed at Lagacherla, along with a major road project that will directly connect Kodangal to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Highlighting transport infrastructure, the chief minister said nearly 90 per cent of railway works near Vikarabad have already been completed.

He further announced that construction of a cement manufacturing unit is expected to begin within the next six months, creating employment and livelihood opportunities for local youth.

Revanth Reddy also instructed officials to complete the Narayanpet-Kodangal Lift Irrigation Scheme within one-and-a-half years to bring waters of the Krishna River to the region.

Assuring full government support, he said funding would be ensured and administrative hurdles removed to complete the irrigation project on schedule.
