Lawmakers from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) began arriving at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on Thursday evening for a special dinner meeting hosted by the Prime Minister.

The gathering has been organised to boost coordination among alliance partners during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament. Officials said the interaction will help streamline floor strategy, strengthen engagement within the coalition, and allow for candid discussions on legislative priorities.

The dinner is also expected to give the Prime Minister an opportunity to outline the government’s agenda for the remainder of the session and reinforce the alliance’s broader political roadmap. Senior ministers, floor leaders and MPs from all constituent parties are expected to attend.

Discussions may additionally cover strategies for the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Assam, with parties likely to refine their approaches ahead of these high-stakes contests.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, BJP MP Anurag Thakur thanked the Prime Minister for the invitation, expressing confidence that the coalition will meet again to celebrate victory in the 2026 West Bengal elections. “PM Modi has invited us after the historic win in Bihar. The next feast will come after Bengal’s victory,” he said.

Thakur added that NDA MPs see such gatherings as an important opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister and share feedback. Reflecting on earlier NDA governments, he said leaders in the era of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani often met on common platforms to build rapport — a tradition he believes Modi has continued with his strong communication skills.
