President Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a two-day visit to Kerala beginning Wednesday, marking an important engagement in the state as she joins the Indian Navy’s flagship celebrations of Navy Day 2025.
According to a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President will participate in the event on December 3 in Thiruvananthapuram, where she will witness an impressive operational demonstration by the Indian Navy.
Navy Day is celebrated annually to honour the force’s maritime achievements and to recognize the dedicated service of naval personnel who safeguard India’s maritime borders. The Navy often showcases its advanced capabilities, including modern warships, aircraft, and strategic operations carried out at sea. This year’s celebration in Kerala is expected to feature vibrant displays of naval strength, amphibious operations, and rescue demonstrations, reflecting India’s growing prowess in maritime security.
President Murmu’s presence at the event underscores the nation’s appreciation for the Navy’s vital role in national defence and its increasing geopolitical significance in the Indian Ocean Region.
