Smriti Irani reviews BJP organisational preparedness during Amethi visit

Former Amethi MP Smriti Irani visited Amethi on a one-day tour on Wednesday and attended the BJP's Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Maha Abhiyan programme in Musafirkhana, BJP leaders said.

She discussed organisational matters with party office-bearers, workers and senior leaders during the training campaign. This campaign focused on strengthening the organisation at the booth level, ensuring wider outreach of welfare schemes of the Centre and the Uttar Pradesh government, and preparing future political strategies, BJP leaders said.

Later, at the district BJP office in Gauriganj, Irani held a meeting with district committee members, mandal presidents, heads of frontal organisations and other office-bearers to review preparations for the upcoming Assembly and panchayat elections.

She also issued organisational directions, party leaders said.

Earlier in the day, the former MP visited Juthipur village in the Gauriganj Assembly segment and met the family members of deceased BJP booth president Pawan Pasi.

She expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Irani also assured the family of all possible support.

She later visited Thakurain Karan village in the Tiloi Assembly constituency, paid floral tributes to the late BJP booth president Brijesh Chandra Tiwari, and conveyed her condolences to the family.

During the visit, Irani recalled the contribution of deceased party workers to the organisation, BJP leaders said.

She also visited her residence in Medan Mawai village in Gauriganj, where she stayed for nearly an hour.
