Markets across Srinagar are witnessing a massive rush of shoppers ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, with commercial hubs packed from morning till late evening as people make final preparations for the festival.
Busy marketplaces including Lal Chowk, Residency Road, Nowhatta, Goni Khan and Maharaj Gunj remained crowded throughout the day as families thronged shops to purchase clothes, footwear, bakery items, accessories and sacrificial essentials.

Traffic congestion was reported in several areas due to increased movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
Shopkeepers said business activity has picked up significantly over the past few days, bringing relief after a relatively slow season. Traders dealing in garments, bakery products and cosmetics reported a sharp increase in sales as customers rushed to complete Eid shopping.
