Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the eve of his 76th birthday.

Shukla expressed the hope that, under the prime minister’s visionary leadership, India would continue to advance on the path of development, progress and prosperity.

"On behalf of the people of Telangana and on his own behalf, the Governor extended his heartfelt greetings and wished the prime minister continued good health, strength and long life," a Lok Bhavan release said.

The Governor prayed that the blessings of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy remain with Modi always and that the Almighty bless him with good health, strength and longevity.
