All tourists stuck in a cable car near this Himachal Pradesh town on Monday following a technical snag have been rescued successfully, according to the District Magistrate. 

The cable car belonged to resort Timber Trail, located on the Chandigarh-Shimla national highway, in Solan.

According to officials, rescue operations lasted for more than three hours with the Indian Air Force put on alert in case of any requirement.

A trolley was deployed to rescue the tourists.

An army team led by Colonel Ivan Joseph Crasto, had then rescued the stranded tourists.
