Rs 7 lakh reward for Jammu Villagers for catching wanted LeT terrorists

In an exemplary display of courage, unarmed villagers on Sunday overpowered two heavily armed terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) including one of its most wanted commanders, in village Tukson Dhok in Jammu's Reasi district.
 
The apprehended terrorists have been identified as Faizal Ahmad and Talib Hussain.Hussain is a wanted commander of LeT and hails from Rajouri district. His associate, Fazal Ahmad is from Pulwama district. "Two AK-47 rifles, 7 grenades and a pistol were recovered from their possession. Talib Hussain had masterminded a recent bomb blast in Rajouri," police said.

Jammu Police has disclosed that the two were most wanted terrorists and applauded the counrage of villages. It also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for the villagers involved in their capture:
 
Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha announced a reward of Rs five lakh for the villagers while Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh announced a reward of Rs two lakh for the villagers who caught the two terrorists.
 
An official release said:"Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced Rs 5 lakh cash reward to villagers of Tukson Dhok, Reasi for displaying great courage and bravery in apprehending two most-wanted terrorists. Two AK rifles, 7 Grenades, a Pistol and a huge quantity of ammunition were recovered from their possession. Manoj Sinha said that he salutes the bravery of villagers of Tukson Dhok, Reasi, who apprehended two most-wanted terrorists. The determination of common man shows end of terrorism is not far away.
 
One of them was wanted in connection with the blast in border town of Rajouri.

Mukesh Singh, ADGP, Jammu, said that “In recent past it’s been observed LeT is trying to revive militant activities in Chenab valley and Rajouri-Poonch area, managed to revive some workers. In this, 2 modules had been created.”

He said that Talib was responsible for Udhampur blast busted a month back and second for blasts at Rajouri district busted about 10 days back.

However,Talib Hussain had been absconding and was out of the reach of Police. "We were after him & local villagers helped us nab these 2 militants."
