Eggs are a versatile addition to both your diet and kitchen.

Cholesterol may be a major concern for many when it comes to eggs but studies show that the cholesterol in eggs doesn't seem to negatively affect the human body when compared with other sources of cholesterol.

The cholesterol intake is completely dependent on what other food is present in the preparation, like saturated fat, salt and other meats.

Egg whites are a great source of protein, but it may be a surprise that it also hydrates the body due to its heavy water content. They are low in calories and fat and are solid breakfast or post-workout food.

Furthermore, you can use eggs in a variety of filling meals like Shakshuka, Egg biryani, a traditional egg curry with chapati or rice given that salt and other spices are in balance.

Eggs are a multisource of vitamins, being composed of; riboflavin, A, D, B6 and B12.

They also have choline, a nutrient essential for metabolism thus making it a solid option for specific diet plans as well.

A 2025 study from Harvard indicates that most cholesterol in the human body is made by the liver from dietary, saturated, and trans fats, and not from the cholesterol in food. Eggs have very little saturated fats for this to be a concern.

Eggs are far from a health risk even if they are eaten every single day. However, it is worth reflecting on how the eggs are prepared, and what other ingredients are in the mix, adding or reducing from the nutritional value in the food.

Pairing eggs with meats like bacon and sausage may introduce its own set of health risks, due to heavy sodium and saturated fat content. And compared to meats and fish, egg is a great economic choice for protein intake.
