A horrific road accident on a national highway in Bahraich turned into a remarkable story of courage and humanity when three madrasa scholars risked their lives to rescue passengers trapped inside a burning car.

The incident happened in a head-on collision between two cars and one of the cars catching fire.

While many bystanders stood there, some even recording videos on their mobile phones, the three scholars rushed forward to save the injured passengers.

The accident took place on Monday near Rukanapur Bazaar under the Fakharpur police station area.

A car travelling from Bahraich to Lucknow collided head-on with a Hyundai car coming from Barabanki. Soon after the crash, smoke began rising from the bonnet of one car and in no time  the car burst into flames.

At that critical moment three madrasa teachers identified as Hafiz Shafiuddin Hafiz Islamuddin and Hafiz Shahiduddin  jumped into the inferno and rescued the trapped passengers. After intense efforts they managed to pull the injured people to safety.
