Bangladesh’s pace attack has made significant gains in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings after starring in the team’s 2-1 home series win over New Zealand. Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana shared 18 wickets across the series and were rewarded with major jumps in the bowling chart, according to the ICC.

Shoriful climbed 11 places to 28th, Mustafizur moved up 14 spots to 41st, while Player of the Series Nahid Rana advanced 16 positions to 48th. Their rise offers a timely boost to Bangladesh’s fast-bowling resources ahead of next year’s ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.

Bangladesh batters also moved up the ODI rankings after solid displays in the series. Najmul Hossain Shanto gained 11 places to reach 32nd, while Litton Das jumped 15 spots to 65th.

In the ODI all-rounders list, Mehidy Hasan Miraz rose one place to joint third after contributing an unbeaten 22 and taking two wickets in the decider at Chattogram.

Bangladesh players also enjoyed success in the updated T20I rankings after the opening game of their series against New Zealand. Towhid Hridoy, who scored a match-winning fifty, climbed nine places to 39th among batters, while Parvez Hossain Emon moved up three spots to joint 40th.
