Awaz-e-Khwateen, a Delhi-based NGO, organized a career counseling programme for women and young girls in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh to encourage them to pick up technical and science-based careers.

Several experts who spoke at the programme gave tips to the students on choosing a career in a technical field.

Ratna Shukla Anand, Director of Awaz-e-Khwateen, said it was sad to see young women of a historic place like Rampur lagging behind in the field of technical education.

She encouraged the girls to avail of various government schemes to move on the career paths and join technical fields.

Abhilash Kumar, Principal of Government Raza Inter College, asked the girls to take a conscious decision in planning their career.

Simrat Singh Gill, lecturer at government Polytechnic said these days all facilities for pursuing a technical career are available in all major towns and cities but they must make up their mind first.

Dr. Geeta Saini, Principal of Government Girls Inter College, told the students to value their time and focus on becoming financially independent and strong.
