The visiting French Defense Minister Florence Parly met National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Friday and discussed key regional security issues.
 
Emmanuel Lenin, France's ambassador to India, said the meeting reflected the common desire to work closely on terrorism and the situation in Afghanistan. Emmanuel Lenin said in a tweet;
 
"Minister Florence Parly's meeting with NSA Ajit Doval expressed the common desire for closer coordination on key regional security issues and terrorism and the situation in Afghanistan."
 
Earlier in the day, Florence Parley met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the two held the third annual defense dialogue between India and France.
 
The ministers reviewed the current military-to-military cooperation, which has grown despite the challenges of epidemics. They discussed ways to enhance defense cooperation in all areas.
 
She also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed global challenges and sought India's partnership in building a multipolar order and safeguarding the rule of law in the international system.
