The BJP President J P Nadda today interacted with 14 heads of missions at the party headquarters in Delhi, under the 'Know BJP' initiative. He said this initiative will put “our party’s ideology, contributions, sacrifices and history in front of a global audience telling the tale of our success in nation building. ”

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar was also present during the interaction.

The invitees to the BJP headquarters were Ambassadors of Australia, Bhutan, Canada, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Indonesia, Israel, Kenya, New Zealand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Suriname and USA.

According to BJP, on the BJP Foundation Day, Nadda launched the new initiative "Know BJP" specifically to address overseas audience and interacted with Head of Missions of 13 countries of the world.

BJP intends to continue such interactions with small groups of foreign diplomats in future too. Exchanges of delegations with political parties from different countries are also being planned in due course of time, read the statement.

There was an audio visual presentation about detailed information on BJP’s historical journey, ideology, structure and ongoing activities.

During this event, Nadda elaborated on the history, struggles, successes, ideology and contribution of BJP and its governments in nation building. He also addressed the queries from the diplomats.

After this, a documentary film depicting the journey of Jan Sangh and BJP was shown during the program.

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, National Vice-President DK Aruna, Party's in charge of Foreign Affairs Vijay Chauthaiwale, BJP National Spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam and few other party leaders were also present during the interaction.
