Sufiya Khan sets Kanyakumari to Karakoram world record!

India’s ultra-distance runner Sufi Sufiyan has set yet another world record by running 5,000 kilometers from Kanyakumari to Karakoram in 86 days. 2 hours!

Sufiya Sufi Runner whose real name is Sufiya Khan is one of India's most famous ultra-runners, holding multiple Guinness World Records. During the just concluded run, Sufiya also set a world record by running 4,167 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in just 68 days and 23 hours.

The Jaipur-born 39 year old runner has already completed runs across the Golden Quadrilateral and Manali-Leh

The Kanyakumari to karakoram run is the is the first such attempt by a human on the earth.

She hit the Karakoram in Ladakh on August 6 and announced it on social media later by saying “We did it.”

In the last leg of her campaign in remote Ladakh, Sufi Sufiyan was in the no internet zone and has foretold her followers that she would not be able to update them for a few days.

It may be mentioned that her Kanyakumari to Karakoram run is dedicated to the Indian Army.

She said she was feeling “incredibly grateful and humbled to become the first human to run from Kanyakumari to Karakoram.
