Valley’s Sadia Tariq in Indian squad for Moscow Wushu event

Sadia Tariq, Kashmir’s golden girl who has won the Junior National Wushu championship twice, is part of the Indian squad that left for Moscow to take part in the Moscow Wushu Stars championship scheduled to begin from February 22 to 28.
 
The Moscow Wushu Stars championship is the approved event in the Annual Calendar Training and Competition of the SAI.
 
Sadia Tariq hails from Srinagar and has recently secured a Gold medal in the 20th Junior National Wushu Championship at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, in which the J&K Wushu team remained overall 3rd in the Medal Tally.

Kuldeep Handoo, National Chief Coach of India who is already in the National Wushu coaching camp at KIC Meerut for the 19th Asian Games, has also congratulated Sadiq Tariq and the whole Indian contingent for the championship:
Sadia was one among the five Wushu players from Jammu and Kashmir who are being trained and groomed for the Youth Asian Games to be held in China in December. The Sports Authority of India is currently training them at a camp in Meerut, UP. 
 
 
The President of the Wushu Association of J&K Vijay Saraf along with all office bearers has congratulated him for the feat and wished him all the best for the championship.
