Aluminium prices rose by 50 paise to Rs 356.35 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the price of aluminium for delivery in August edged up by 50 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 356.35 per kg in 195 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
