Actor Anil Kapoor-starrer show, “24” is set to make a comeback on streaming platform JioHotstar.
The action thriller show, which is an adaptation of the American series of the same name, ran for two seasons in India on Colours TV. It premiered in 2013, followed by the second season in 2016 and garnered wide acclaim for its taut storytelling and performances by the cast.
It was helmed by Abhinay Deo from a script penned by Rensil D'Silva, and followed the story of Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATU) Chief Jai Singh Rathod (Kapoor) as he battles the odds in the line of duty over the course of 24 hours.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the show's comeback, the 69-year-old star said he can’t wait for fans to experience the thrill all over again.
“I’ve played many intense and action-driven roles over the years, but ‘24’ was never just another show for me, it was an adrenaline rush like no other. The pace, the pressure, and the real-time storytelling pushed me to stay constantly on edge, both as an actor and as a storyteller. It’s a project that challenged me in the best way and continues to be very close to my heart,” Kapoor said in a statement.
The makers are yet to share the key details about the new season of “24”, including its cast, plot, and release date.
