Acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Boyapati Srinu paid a visit to the sacred Tirumala Venkateswara Temple on Monday, where he offered special prayers and took part in early morning rituals.
Arriving at Tirumala amid security arrangements, the director was received by temple priests following customary traditions. After the darshan, he was presented with prasadam. Briefly interacting with the media, Srinu said he felt blessed to seek Lord Venkateswara’s grace and prayed for peace and prosperity for all.
On the professional front, Srinu recently directed Nandamuri Balakrishna in Akhanda 2. As suggested in the film’s trailer, the sequel underscores the relevance of Sanatan Dharma in contemporary times, with Balakrishna reprising his role as a fierce guardian of the faith. Actor Aadhi Pinisetty portrays a mystical figure endowed with supernatural powers.
The film has been jointly backed by producers Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Ishan Saksena under the banners of 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment.

Ahead of its wider reach, the makers organised a special public screening in Hyderabad that saw participation from students and members of the intellectual community. Addressing attendees, Srinu described Akhanda 2 as a tribute to Sanatan Dharma, calling it the “soul of India,” and encouraged audiences, particularly the younger generation to experience the film in theatres.
The film has also been released in Hindi, expanding its viewership beyond Telugu-speaking audiences.
