The journey of Jai Hanuman has officially begun.

Actor-director Rishab Shetty has commenced shooting for his ambitious mythological drama with a grand muhurat ceremony held on February 22, 2026. The sacred launch took place at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, adding deep spiritual significance to the occasion.

The makers announced the film’s commencement on social media, sharing glimpses of the auspicious rituals performed amidst Hampi’s majestic rocky landscape. The visuals showcased the cast and crew dressed in traditional attire, immersed in prayers and ceremonial proceedings. Director Prasanth Varma and Rishab Shetty led the rituals, while producer Bhushan Kumar marked his presence at the event.

Positioned as the mythological action sequel to the 2024 blockbuster Hanu-Man, the film is a key chapter in the expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Rishab Shetty will essay the powerful role of Lord Hanuman, a portrayal that has already generated immense anticipation among fans.

The project was first announced during the Pran Pratishtha celebrations of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, further amplifying its cultural resonance.

Backed by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, with Bhushan Kumar presenting the venture. Mounted as a high-budget pan-India spectacle, the film aims to deliver scale, devotion, and cinematic grandeur.
