With over 100 crore mobile handsets in use, India is set for the next phase of smartphone growth, driven by performance, efficiency, and premium user experience, a Techarc study revealed.
The Flagship Delight Study highlights that processor performance has become the key factor in user satisfaction and brand loyalty, accounting for nearly 70% of overall perceived performance in flagship devices. While battery life remains important for mass-market users, flagship buyers now prioritise processor speed, multitasking, AI processing, and gaming efficiency.
The report identified MediaTek Dimensity 9400 as the top performer, scoring a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 92 for balanced performance across processing, camera, and battery. MediaTek led overall user recommendations with an NPS of 83, followed by Apple Silicon at 80. Only Dimensity 9400 and 9300+ crossed the elite 90+ NPS mark, reflecting exceptional customer advocacy.
