Motorola’s latest foldable smartphone, the Razr Fold, is reportedly gaining support for Google’s expanded Quick Share feature with AirDrop compatibility, enabling smoother file transfers between Android devices and Apple products such as iPhone, iPad and Mac.
The development was spotted by Android Authority’s Zac Kew-Denniss, who shared screenshots showing successful file transfers from the Razr Fold to a MacBook using Quick Share. The integration allows cross-platform sharing without relying on third-party apps or cloud-based workarounds.
Google had earlier confirmed that AirDrop support would arrive on the Razr Fold via Quick Share, positioning it as one of the first Motorola devices to receive the feature. With this update, Motorola joins a growing list of Android brands adopting Apple ecosystem compatibility, including select Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi smartphones.
Google introduced AirDrop compatibility within Quick Share last year, starting with the Pixel 10 series. The feature allows Android users to directly send and receive files, apps, contacts and other data with Apple devices, bridging the long-standing gap between the two ecosystems.
Previously, AirDrop functionality was limited exclusively to Apple devices, making cross-platform transfers dependent on external tools. The new integration significantly simplifies sharing between Android and Apple users.
