Vivo is gearing up to launch its next-generation book-style foldable, the Vivo X Fold 6, on June 26 in China, with pre-orders already live on major e-commerce platforms including JD.com and Tmall. Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has begun revealing key specifications through promotional teasers.
The upcoming foldable is confirmed to bring notable upgrades over its predecessor, with a stronger focus on battery performance and durability. It will be available in four colour options and is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset.
One of the biggest highlights is its 7000mAh “Blue Ocean” battery, which uses fifth-generation silicon anode technology. According to company teasers, the battery is designed to deliver significantly improved endurance, including up to 9.8 hours of performance under heavy usage conditions. It is also claimed to maintain stable output even in extreme temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
On the durability front, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance ratings, alongside an upgraded hinge mechanism designed for smoother and more stable folding. Vivo has also highlighted improvements in structural design aimed at long-term reliability.
Connectivity is another focus area, with the device featuring an upgraded signal amplification system that integrates a custom 1+4 chipset setup to enhance network performance in challenging environments such as high-speed trains, elevators, and dense urban zones.
For imaging, the foldable is expected to sport a quad-camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor. The device will also introduce new colour finishes including Black Gold, Blue Hole, Polar Night, and Salt Lake.
