WhatsApp is rolling out new features to make group chats more organized, expressive, and easier to manage.
Member tags let users assign custom labels for their roles in each group, like “Treasurer” in a society chat or “Goalkeeper” in a football group. These tags are unique to each group, giving members flexibility across conversations.
Text stickers allow users to turn any word or phrase into a sticker and save it directly to their sticker packs, making expression faster and more personal.
Custom event reminders help users coordinate better by sending early notifications for in-person or virtual group events, reducing missed calls or late arrivals.

These updates join WhatsApp’s existing group-focused tools, including HD media sharing, screen sharing, large file transfers, and voice chats. The platform says the goal is to create a smoother, more efficient group chat experience across devices.
