Panaji
The Passport Bhavan in the Patto area of Panaji received a bomb threat via email early Monday, prompting an emergency response, but authorities later confirmed the threat was unfounded.
Officials said the email, received around 4 am, warned of an impending blast and urged the evacuation of the public by 11 am. Acting swiftly, security agencies cleared the building and carried out a comprehensive search of the premises.
Bomb Disposal Squad inspector Paresh Navelkar said no suspicious object was detected during the operation. “After a detailed inspection, nothing incriminating was found, and the premises were declared safe,” he said.
