Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday met Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, seeking resolution of issues faced by small truck and bus body builders from Rajasthan.
The meeting followed representations from a delegation of small manufacturers, who alleged that new regulatory standards and high fees could push many out of business and impact livelihoods.
The delegation had earlier met Rahul Gandhi and raised concerns over the cost and complexity of obtaining licences under the revised norms.
