Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Thursday convened an all-party meeting to review the LPG supply situation in the state, assuring that there is no shortage of cooking gas.
According to a government spokesperson, authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and district collectors have been directed to keep strict oversight at the ground level. The meeting comes amid broader concerns over fuel availability linked to global developments.
Addressing leaders across party lines, Sharma said there is no need for panic but stressed the importance of vigilance. “It is our collective responsibility… strict action will be taken against illegal hoarding and black marketing. Every citizen must cooperate in such times,” he said, while thanking all parties for their support.
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully suggested that the government should also explore alternative measures to ensure long-term stability, irrespective of the current situation.
Several legislators participated in the discussion and offered inputs, including Congress leaders Ramkesh Meena and Rajendra Pareek, BJP MLA Shrichandra Kriplani, RLD MLA Subhash Garg, BSP MLA Manoj Nayyangali, and independent MLA Ashok Kothari.
The meeting was also attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, while Government Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg joined via video conference.
