Teacher Mujibur Rehman to have three doctors in family

Mujibur Rahman is an ideal teachers whose upbringing of his three children has come in for praise by people in village Katigara in Kachar district (Barak Valley) of South Assam and on social media after his two daughters also gained admission in Medical colleges.

His only son Fuzail Ahmed, a qualified MBBS doctor is working with the government. Now his daughters Wasima Siddique and Nasima Siddique are also studying to become doctors.

For a small village, three doctors from one family in a generation is a great achievement.

For the locals Mujibur Rahman is as an idealistic and honest man. He is a subject teacher at Siddheshwar Higher Secondary School, Katigara. He has been teaching sincerely despite a small salary and he has raised his three children with these ideals.

Fuzail Ahmed made it to the top 20 in the Higher Secondary Examination. He then enrolled in Aligarh Muslim University’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. In 2021, Wasima got admission into the Government medical college in Bhagalpur, Bihar and a few days later, Nasima also qualified for MBBS. Bhagalpur medical college is ranked  2th among 400 medical colleges in the country.

The family's success story spread on social media. It is unanimously acknowledged that children have reached the peak of development due to the proper upbringing of an ideal persons and a teacher.

Mujibur Rahman said his children are getting scholarships on their merit and they are also received financial assistance from different sources.

Asked why he encouraged his three children to study medicine, Rahman said it was not pre planned by his.

It was the choice of his children and all of them qualified in the first entrance tests they wrote.

He, however, expressed satisfaction that he and his wife would be able to get medical treatment. He said he is happy that his children will be able to help society as “only doctors can save people.”
