Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday praised 19-year-old Vedamurti Devavrat Mahesh Rekhe for completing the Dandakrama Parayanam, reciting 2,000 mantras of the Shukla Yajurveda's Madhyandini branch over 50 consecutive days. Modi described the feat as one that will be "remembered by the coming generations."
Highlighting the flawless recitation of sacred Vedic verses, the Prime Minister said Devavrat embodies the finest of India’s Guru Parampara and expressed his delight that the accomplishment took place in the sacred city of Kashi. He also acknowledged the support of Devavrat’s family, saints, scholars, and organisations across India.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Siddha Baba Palnath Ashram in Haryana, spoke about the enduring relevance of Sanatan culture and its role in human evolution. He emphasised the contributions of the Nath community and connected the tradition from Shiva of Kailash to the Rameshwaram temple.

Earlier, CM Yogi held a ‘Janta Darshan’ at Gorakhnath Temple, Gorakhpur, interacting with people and children, reviewing applications, and assuring timely redressal of grievances.
