Cricket fans in North India can look forward to an exciting new tournament as the Dream Tennis Cricket League – Season 1 (North Zone) has been officially launched in Kurukshetra.
The grand launch ceremony took place on March 12, 2026, at Veta Hotel in Umri, Kurukshetra, with former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Aakash Chopra attending as the Chief Guest. The event marked the beginning of a league aimed at promoting tennis cricket and providing a platform for emerging talent.
A New Platform for Tennis Cricket Talent
The tournament is scheduled to be held from June 16 to June 21 at Samana Bahu in Kurukshetra. It will feature promising players from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, bringing together some of the region’s most talented tennis cricket enthusiasts. Organizers hope to develop the league into one of the leading tennis cricket tournaments in North India.
During the launch event, Aakash Chopra unveiled the league’s official poster and jersey and interacted with players and fans. He also shared insights from his cricketing journey, inspiring young participants and formally announcing the start of the competition. His presence added significant prestige to the event and motivated many aspiring cricketers.
Encouraging Young Cricketers
Speaking at the event, organizers said the Dream Tennis Cricket League aims to provide budding players with a strong platform to demonstrate their skills while also boosting interest in cricket among young people. They added that the tournament will help promote sports culture in the region and give local fans an opportunity to enjoy competitive cricket matches in their own city.

The Dream Tennis Cricket League – Season 1 (North Zone) is being organized by Somnath Gaba (Chairman), Ravi Kumar Gaba, and Vinay Kamboj from Haripur, Yamunanagar. The PR and event management for the league is being handled by Shaaz Media Entertainment.
