Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) leader Allah Nazar Baloch has warned China, Western countries and Middle Eastern states against investing in Balochistan, saying recent violence in Nokkundi should be seen as a “clear national message” that foreign-backed projects operating under Pakistan’s authority will not be accepted, according to a report by The Balochistan Post.
In a statement, Nazar alleged that China had made a “serious strategic error” by partnering with Pakistan on what he termed “exploitative projects” involving Balochistan’s coastline and natural resources. He claimed that the Baloch people had collectively resolved that no development project in the region would be considered acceptable or sustainable before what he described as national independence.
He accused Pakistan of committing “systematic genocide and war crimes” in Balochistan over the past two decades, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and mass displacement. Nazar alleged that China’s cooperation with Pakistan linked it to these actions, though he said the Baloch people did not consider China a direct adversary.
Referring to the recent Nokkundi incident, in which the BLF claimed responsibility for attacking a Pakistani military brigade headquarters and a facility linked to the Reko Diq and Saindak mining projects, Nazar said the operation should be viewed as a response against Pakistan’s “external associates”, rather than Pakistan alone.
He warned that any foreign investment undertaken under Pakistan’s authority would be opposed and urged China, as well as Western and Gulf nations, to reconsider involvement in the region.

Nazar also appealed to the international community to recognise what he described as the Baloch struggle for self-determination, asserting that an independent Balochistan would engage constructively with countries that respect “freedom, justice and human dignity”, the report said.
