Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the unwavering dedication of India’s youth remains the driving force behind the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, as he recounted notable accomplishments across fields such as space, technology and agriculture.
In the 128th edition of his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ broadcast, Modi highlighted several major developments in November, including the 150th year of ‘Vande Mataram’, Constitution Day events at the Central Hall, and the ceremonial raising of the ‘Dharmadhwaja’ atop the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
He also mentioned the launch of the world’s largest LEAP engine MRO facility in Hyderabad and the commissioning of INS ‘Mahe’ into the Indian Navy.
“Just last week, the Skyroot Infinity Campus infused new energy into the nation’s space ecosystem. It showcases India’s modern outlook, innovation and the strength of its young population,” the prime minister said.
Modi spoke about a social media video featuring a one-of-a-kind drone challenge organised by ISRO. In it, young participants—mainly Gen-Z—attempted to operate drones in Mars-like conditions, relying solely on onboard cameras and software due to the absence of GPS support.
He recalled how, after several crashes, the participants eventually succeeded. Drawing a parallel, Modi said ISRO scientists too had faced setbacks during Chandrayaan-2 but used the experience to achieve success with Chandrayaan-3.
“That success came from renewed confidence after failure. I saw the same determination in the eyes of the youths in the video,” he said.
He added, “Whenever I witness the commitment of our youth and the perseverance of our scientists, it fills me with inspiration. This dedication is among the biggest strengths of Viksit Bharat.”
