The popular lifestyle talk show featuring veteran Actor Drew Barrymore is known for inviting their guests in-studio but virtually, that means the guests are there through an optical illusion but in real time it is just the host who is present in the studio.

Many of us while growing up must have watched the quidditch game in the Harry Potter franchise, that was a treat to the eyes and a balm to the soul, and many must have day dreamt about flying high that too on a broom. Adding to the awe were movies like Star Trek, Star Wars, Avatar, Life of Pie and more recently Tom and Jerry. Though after the boom of access of internet the queries were mostly resolved and the magic potion that surfaced was "The Green Screen or Chroma".

Green Screen (originally Blue in color) was first used in 1940 by Larry Butler for his iconic movie The Thief Of Baghdad. Later on, with an augment in use of computers and Vfx, green being a more neutral color gained popularity and was started using instead.

Like every industry, entertainment Industry also suffered the backlash of the lockdown and the restrictions as posed by the new normal. While many were stuck, Veteran actress Drew Barrymore came with her revolutionary show “The Drew Barrymore Show” where she shows off green screen technology used to virtually bring the guests in the studio.

In her explanatory video she was quoted saying “Welcome to the future”. The show is a venture of CBS broadcast and is filming the shows in the New York studios while their guests are present in the Los Angeles Studio, the cameras are operated from NY Studio and the key element in this rush is the impeccable use of green screen.
