New Delhi
A special flight operated by Air India carrying stranded passengers and crew from Shannon arrived in New Delhi early Thursday morning.
The passengers had been stranded after an Airbus A350 aircraft operating flight AI102 from New York City to Delhi was diverted to Shannon on Monday due to a suspected technical issue. The aircraft landed safely at Shannon Airport, and all onboard were reported safe.
To bring them back, Air India arranged a special flight using a Boeing 787 aircraft, which first flew from Zurich to Shannon before departing for Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.
