Afjal, a speech and hearing-impaired employee of IndiGo Airlines, has become an internet sensation after a heartwarming video of him assisting a passenger at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport went viral.

The video, shared on Instagram by passenger Aman Singh, captures Afjal calmly guiding him through the self check-in and baggage drop process with remarkable efficiency, using gestures, visual cues and a warm smile.

Wearing a badge that read, "I cannot hear or speak, but I will be happy to assist," Afjal handled the entire check-in process with confidence, demonstrating that effective communication goes far beyond spoken words.

Deeply moved by the experience, Singh later wrote that Afjal had shown him that communication is built on kindness, patience and understanding—not merely on speech.

The touching interaction quickly resonated with social media users, who praised Afjal's professionalism and dedication. Many also commended IndiGo for fostering an inclusive workplace by creating opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Several users shared their own encounters with Afjal, describing him as courteous, cheerful and always willing to help. Others noted that his calm demeanour and commitment to customer service left a lasting impression on passengers.
