Dr. Mahboob Sadal Khan, a philanthropic healthcare entrepreneur from Kaman, Rajasthan, has been nominated for the Padma Shri Award 2026 in the field of Healthcare & Medicine. This nomination has brought national attention to the Mewat region, highlighting its growing role in India’s global healthcare outreach and medical tourism sector.
Widely recognized for facilitating high-quality medical treatment for patients from Africa and the Middle East, Dr. Khan has played a pivotal role in strengthening India’s position as an international healthcare destination. His efforts have contributed significantly to foreign healthcare inflows and medical education collaborations, reinforcing India’s economic and diplomatic engagement with developing countries.

In 2021, Dr. Khan received the African Icon Award from ICRED (Africa) for his contributions to improving healthcare access across African nations. Dr. Khan began his career in the pharmaceutical industry, working with leading companies such as Sun Pharmaceuticals and Intas Biopharmaceuticals. During his tenure, he was involved in cancer product marketing and clinical trials at AIIMS, New Delhi, helping thousands of patients access free tertiary care. He also organized large-scale ophthalmology camps in Kaman in collaboration with Delhi’s Venu Eye Institute, reflecting his strong commitment to community healthcare.
Expanding his mission globally, Dr. Khan established healthcare and medical supply operations across Africa and later founded AL-SADAL Services Pvt. Ltd., with operations in India, Oman, and Nigeria. The organization focuses on medical tourism, international healthcare partnerships, and education services, while also supporting economically disadvantaged international patients through humanitarian assistance and treatment facilitation.
An author as well, Dr. Khan wrote the “Help and Assistance Guide”, endorsed by the Nigerian High Commission, which serves as a reference for international patients seeking medical treatment in India.
