Amazon Prime Video has unveiled its ambitious 2026 slate with a major highlight, Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, a fantasy creature-comedy headlined by Kartik Aaryan. The announcement came during the platform’s ‘It Starts Here’ showcase held in Mumbai on March 19.
Positioned as one of the streamer’s big theatrical-backed projects, the film promises a blend of scale, humor, and mythology. The newly revealed poster sets the tone, featuring Aaryan standing against the imposing silhouette of a giant serpent, hinting at a larger-than-life narrative.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for the Fukrey franchise, the story revolves around an ichhadhari naag, with Aaryan stepping into the quirky role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand.
Backed by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films, the film is slated for a theatrical release on August 14, strategically targeting the Independence Day weekend, before making its digital debut on Prime Video.
